372 - rehaut/crystal distortion

I notice right away in the first real photos that something is making the dial appear as if it is too sunken. The gen has almost the opposite effect. 

 

 

Is this a crystal distortion issue or is the rehaut too big?

Those side shots look like there is a mile between the crystal and dial. The gen has the reverse effect.
