luc717 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 Hi guys, I have been having some problems with my new purchase and was hoping for some ideas of what they issue/fix might be. The movement completely failed after one week of ownership - a good wind or swirl only got it going for about 5 seconds. I then found when I turned the hands by around 24 hours that it encountered a patch where it was slightly more stiff. I very gently moved it past this point and the movement started working again, but now the date doesn't change when it should. Quick setting the date works fine and feels completely normal. It doesn't seem to make any difference which numbers the date wheel is on, none of them flip under their own steam. The TD has agreed to take it back as the bezel needs replacing too, but I can do the bezel myself so wanted to see if this is a well known problem or an easy fix? I can take it to a watch maker but would really like to see how difficult it would be to do myself if I got the proper tools. I've always taken things apart (including things as fiddly as iPhones) so don't think I would struggle too much, but if I'm going to have to take the entire movement to bits I think I'd rather not put in the time at the moment. If on the other hand it would only need a few parts being taken out/reset, then I'm keen to give it a go. Any ideas appreciated! Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
