umairarif Posted November 29, 2013 Report Posted November 29, 2013 Hi I have been looking at some thing big for my wrist. Came across rolex deep sea 52mm. here is the link to it http://www.tswatch2004.com/14519-ro14519-deep-sea-52mm-superlume-swiss-2836-modified-asian-3135.html I wanted to know if any one have owned it can tell how it wears on wrist, Just not sure about the 27mm thickness, it might look like a brick on my wrist? and the other thing is that in this listing it say movement is nickle plated swiss ETA and then it say modified to Rolex calibre 3135 markers and bridges, is modification some thing to do with movement? so is it not a swiss eta? I am also looking for a black full ceramic watch. I have gone through trusty but it is impossible to go through all the watches from all the TDs, can some one please give me some choices i will have a look then. I had viewed Rado but did not like it at all. regards
umairarif Posted November 30, 2013 Author Report Posted November 30, 2013 also noticed there is a difference on the size of watch on few TDS web site. some offer in 43mm and 17mm thick abs others 52mm and 27 mm thick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Albieee Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 The movement modification just makes it look a bit more like the gen movement, it is still Swiss eta and anyone who knows anything about watches won't be fooled by it, it's a nice idea though
panera Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 DSSD is ok for big and thick wrist I uses 44mm case watches and the thickness is no problem Strongly suggest Go with asian movemnt You dont need any cosmetics
sam1977 Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Sounds like you are looking at 2 different watches. The deep sea challenge is 52mm x 27mm. The DSSD is 44mm. I would not recommend the Deep Sea Challenge as only 2 or 3 were ever made. I don't think any of those were ever even sold. They are on tour going to different rolex boutiques around the world. Go for a noob Dssd. Get a Bk Modded DSSD if you can. It's a great watch.I know some people don't recommend the Swiss eta, but I do. All of my reps with swiss movements keep much better time than the Asian clones I own.Good luck!Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
