fast2ghl Posted February 18, 2014 Report Posted February 18, 2014 Hey guys, I just recieved a new Diver 4000 from Andrew at Trusty Time. Last watch I recieved from him has been excellent, I had an issue with the strap on it originally but after I let Andrew know about it he promplty sent me a brand new strap! Stand up guy, and great service! This time around thou as i opened the box, I found what appeared to be a loose minute hand on an otherwise beautiful looking watch. Sure enough, the minute hand is loose and just slides around freely. Sometimes it seems to find its home and locks into place for small periods of time but mostly it just slides around. I did a little bit of reading just now and I dug up some info on why this potentially happens. It could be from too large a hole punched into the hand so it doesn't hold the pin snug? Im not really a watch technician so I'm just guessing.... My question is, what should I do here? I've already contacted Andrew to let him know about the isseu, still waiting for a response. I have a local repair guy that "may" be able to fix it, but I'm just not sure. The face seems to have interesting looking screws on it, and I thought about opening it up myself but I don't want to damage anything. What would you guys suggest? Thanks for any insight!
zippin23 Posted February 19, 2014 Report Posted February 19, 2014 Wait on Andrew to respond. I wouldn't open it until you talk to him.
fast2ghl Posted February 19, 2014 Author Report Posted February 19, 2014 I was able to get one of my local repair guys to fix it! Works like a charm now! Absolutely beautiful watch! Thanks for your response.
