LMPO Lume

After a long hiatus, I have the rep itch again. I've been looking at the SFSO v2 and the LMPO. I love both watches, both look like outstanding reps, and it's hard to choose. I think it's going to come down to the lume.

I did a review of the SFSO v1 Asian vs the SFSO v1 Swiss back in 2010 and I was pretty impressed by both watches back then and it sounds like the SOSF v2 significantly improves over v1, which was already deemed a "super rep" at the time. The v1 SFSO's weak point back then was the lume. I've heard the new v2 SFSO lume is fantastic right out of the box.

I have a 42mm PO that I bought in 2010 from Narikka, which was nicknamed the POrikka and was the best available PO at the time. I think it was a v4, and Narikka was the first to carry them. It's a pretty decent rep, and has been my daily beater for 4 years. It's been beat half to death though, and although it's still keeping perfect time, the crystal is pretty badly scratched, and the lume has turned a sickly shade of yellow. The lume "luminosity" was pretty lousy out of the box, and it always annoyed me. Time for a new one perhaps.

I've heard that the new LMPO is incredible. I think it was voted RWI rep of the year at the end of last year. That says a lot! What I haven't heard much about is the lume. I'd like to avoid having to send it out for reluming, so I'm wondering how good the lume is right out of the box.

So my question is, is the LMPO lume on par with the new SFSO v2 lume?. Put differently, is the LMPO lume good enough to pass for gen? I'm going to buy either SFSO v2 or the LMPO, and I think the lume will be the deciding factor.

Thanks in advance!
