sprdude Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 all! I just received my first rep with a ETA 2836-2 movement. The watch came DOA. I am able to pull out the crown guard and change the date, minutes/hours fine. However when i try to wind up the watch the seconds hand never starts moving. This is also my very first mechanical watch so I have nothing really to compare this to, but when I try to wind up the watch it to put up a lot of resistance. I watched videos of people winding submariners and it seemed very easy. I took the case back off and nothing appeared to be odd at first glance. The balance wheel never oscillates. It does not appear stuck though if i gently move it and it moves without a problem. Any ideas? I am really bummed out that my first rep ever came DOA I can take the back off again and post pics if it would help.
sprdude Posted December 22, 2014 Author Report Posted December 22, 2014 Just came back from a watchmaker in the Tampa Bay area. The watch must of been dropped during shipping as the balance wheel was mislodged and the rotor had to be re adjusted. All good now.
