ETA 7750 date/day wheel not adjusting manually. Help?

Hi.  Watch has been running fine and now it seems the day/date wheels won't turn with the crown set to manual winding position.  However it does turn automatically when setting time.  

 

What are the possible causes and solutions to this issue?

Would only be certain if you opened the movement, however, it sounds like the calendar jumper isn't contacting the date wheel in the setting position. This actually happens a lot when different parts are used interchangeably, for instance a 7753 part on a 7750 movement. Slight variances, but they add up.
