Fitting 1570 Hands To 28xx?

Before making a disaster of things I thought of posting here

Rlx 1570 hands wont fit 2846 ETA's so does anyone now how to "make them" fit?

It's for a 1655 Explorer II McQueen, so the hands are relatively thick.

My plan is to cut 1570 and 2846 hands where the hand circle meets the hand arm and solder them together

Soldering will be done on the back of the hands.

Anybody tried this or something else to put 1570 hands on an 28xx movement?

Any advice is very appreciated
