New guy... hello!

Hello, from Miami! Well, what brings me here? apart from the obvious... specifically the 1016... 
Being 50 I ask myself ‘Why didn’t I...” and the 1016 is at the top of that list of “Why didn’t I buy this...” oh well, live and learn... or better said... don’t make the same mistake I did. To my eyes (Architect by trade, and artist/writer/inventor by night) I find this dial and case combination to be a perfect design... one that will always be timeless. One that will be copied due to its unobtainable (insert dollar signs) status. It’s a shame really that I was so focused all these past years on its much more famous brother that I didn’t notice the greatness that was the 1016... what an amazing family of tool watches. But then I said to myself maybe I can build one...  Which brings me here as I start my research to do a 1016 build. Cant wait to get started!
