Air King 116900 Gen、GM、BP & JVS Comprehensive Comparison

Hello everyone, this is Steve and I'm back.

Last time we did a comparative review of the Explorer generation, so this time let's take to the sky and see how the replica factories have done with the Air King.

I have to say, Rolex watch series names are quite elaborate, from the submarine in the sea, to the land explore,

to the sky of the King, as well as cut through the starry sky of the Lightning (the alias of Milgauss), which is not a famous name, accidentally, exposed the next comparison model

Currently the only factories producing the Air king 116900 are GM and BP, and considering that there are fewer factories involved in the comparison, we have included the JVS 126900 (JVS does not have 116900).

Although there are some changes from 116900 to 126900, most of the details can still be compared with 116900, so let's start to see which factory is the King of this series.

Front Dial View

Natual Light View

Light View

There is nothing to say about the appearance, you can see for yourself, there is no chromatic aberration exists, is always good.

Bezel View

6.jpg7.jpg
There is nothing wrong with the overall shape, but BP's bezel is a little narrower on the side, which is also very noticeable in person.

Crystal Side View

8.jpg9.jpg
Similar or not, the chamfer on the edge of Crystal still needs to be done, apparently JVS just ignored it, GM and BP are great, very close to Gen.

Digital view of Dial

10.jpg11.jpg12.jpg13.jpg

The dial digits are essentially the same, no better or worse.

Stick View

14.jpg15.jpg16.jpg17.jpg
In terms of shape, none of the factories differ, with the slight disadvantage that the edges and sharp corners are not as rounded as Gen. (3, 6, 9 digits, 126900 converted to filled)

Oil font view

18.jpg19.jpg20.jpg21.jpg22.jpg23.jpg

JVS's green font Rolxe is very well controlled, the colour is very close to Gen, while GM and BP are a bit more vivid.

As for the shape details and fullness of the fonts, it is the same old rule that all details are equal to the naked eye, so we don't need to be overly concerned.

Luminous Filled View

24.jpg25.jpg
The GM still has the old problem, the luminous fill of stick is too flat and has no grain effect, which doesn't affect the luminous effect too much, but the colour is a bit whiter than Gen in natural light, as is the case with BP and JVS.

Seconds hand view
26.jpg
For the second hand colour, GM and BP have a relatively small colour difference, JVS is beyond the acceptable range, colour is too light and lacks gloss.

Also we can notice that the Gen second hand colour is the same as the ROLEX font, GM and BP are better controlled and have almost no colour difference from each other.

The JVS is still the problem of the second hand, resulting in a noticeable difference in colour.

Middle Axis View

27.jpg28.jpg29.jpg
For the centre section, GM and BP are lacking in that their centres are hollow out, with no raised solid dots visible,

while JVS is slightly more unfortunate in that the solid section is too large, and if properly adjusted would be close to the Gen.

Rehaut Side View

30.jpg31.jpg
JVS has a much clearer Rehaut, GM and BP are a little less so, about the same between.

Crown side view

32.jpg33.jpg34.jpg
Comparatively speaking, JVS's teeth are less polished and sharper to the touch, while GM and BP are more rounded.

Case side view

35.jpg36.jpg
The shape of the middle case GM and BP are not a problem, and the new version of the 126900 is the same as the Submariner shell type (crown with shoulder guard),

JVS can not be compared directly with gen, but from the shape alone, there should be no problem, after all,

the case is also considered to be a replica of the main body of the parts, if the main body is not correct, then what is a replica of it.

Also on a side note, do you guys prefer cases with shoulder pads or without?

Endlink side view

37.jpg38.jpg
Looked at a lot of models of Rolex Endlink, each slightly different, would like to ask Gen's assembly master, this is related to the assembly?

haha. to return to the topic, the Endlink part of the personal opinion , as long as it is not completely flush with the lugs, in fact, are acceptable.

Backcase view

39.jpg40.jpg
The edges of Gen's teeth are a similar sandblasted finish, GM and BP are slightly different but not visually obvious, whereas JVS has a very clear grain which is obviously a bit redundant.

Strap detail view

41.jpg42.jpg43.jpg44.jpg45.jpg
The details of the strap will not do too much comment, you can appraise their own (after all, it is also a high-definition macro view, with the "check" is obviously not suitable, "appraise" is not will look more advanced, haha)

Laser Marker and Luminous View

46.jpg47.jpg
The factory's laser markers and luminescence have always been in the same shape, and there is nothing to compare, so I won't say more.

In terms of watch style alone, the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions of 126900 are luminous and appear sportier compared to the old 116900 version.

Movement view

48.jpg49.jpg
GM and BP both use the A3131 movement, while JVS 126900 use the VR3230 movement.

Data comparison chart

51.jpg52.jpg53.jpg54.jpg50.jpg
Note: All measurements are taken with the calipers in a snug fit and may be subject to error due to slight deviations in the caliper position, and all watches, including the Gen,

are covered with a protective film. In addition, as the JVS is 126900, its data is for reference only and is not to be used as a basis for comparison.

Well, today's post is here, thank you guys for watching. If there are any mistakes, please correct me. If there is anything else I overlooked, you can put it up, and I will try my best to complete it. Welcome to comment and exchange!

I will continue to bring you more detailed comparisons between replica watches and GEN’s. And it is also for you to choose the favorite models conveniently.

Illustration: Some photos deviate from the real object due to the light source. For details, please refer to the content. The size of the comparison picture is relatively large, you can download it and enlarge it for comparison.

There is no perfect replica, only the one you prefer.

Thanks.

Steve.
