SMP Chrono
Howdy very new here, quite new over "there" too. Heard a lot of The Zigmeister's magic capabilities... As the Crown Tube on my watch went belly up on the 29th, and as I want to have it serviced anyway due to the apparently questionable quality of the Asian 7750 mvt., will a genuine Omega Crown Tube/Stem/Crown assembly or only parts of that fit? Maybe with a little machining/milling on the case? And if so, where to get the spare parts? Thanks for any reply!
RWG Technical
I have not installed one, so I dont' know if it fits or what is involved... Certainly a new tube and crown would be needed, and my SMP is like yours, the crown has crapped out...so I will be ordering one for myself soon and installing it - if it fits... SMP Chrono
Thanks for your reply! Well, as I cannot seem to find a watchmaker or experienced watchperson over here in the EU, how big of a chance would you think is it to get my watch to you for service/repair without Customs getting their sticky fingers on it? And what would you have to charge me for a complete service, and maybe fitting a gen Crown/Tube?
