I have mentioned this in previous posts. I met with Jacob a few years ago on behalf of a major international fashion company (which also owns a couple of watch companies) who was considering investing in the business to allow Jacob to expand his distribution and open up his new store(s). My client couldn't get comfortable with the proposition. I had always wondered how Jacob had gotten the capital for his expansion. This may well explain it. When I met him he was selling out of a booth on 47th Street.

The person who made the introduction was the president of a major record label. The amazing thing was that during our first one-hour meeting the record exec told jacob exactly what he wanted at the beginning of the meeting and by the time we walked out the door the label exec was walking out the door with a customized $20,000 watch. Fully blinged out, of course.
