The Crown doesn't "pull" out. You have to unscrew the Crown first by turning anti-clockwise. Once you have unscrewed it then gently pull and the Crown will pop into the 1st setting position allowing you to set the time. Refitting Crown is easy. Push in and twist clockwise. Scott.
