The Curious Case of the Missing B?

Being a big Breitling fan I've bought two of the Steelfish reps, a blue face on ss bracelet and a white face on brown leather strap. I've just noticed that the tiny Breitling "B" which is engraved on the side of the bezel is absent on one of the watches. I bought the blueface first (soon after the watches hit the market) and this has the engraved "B" and had it relumed because the lume was very 'lumpy'. The whiteface arrived a couple of days ago and does not have the "B" engraved on the bezel although the quality of lume application is much better. Watches were bought from different dealers.

It's not a problem for me, so this is just an observation of what I assume is a QC quirk.
