DuDro Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Ok...I was next to a couple at dinner last night and I spotted a 44mm Panerai on the guy's wrist. It had a brushed cased, metal bracelet, black/charcoal dial, AND a display window on the dial showing what appeared to be a Tourbillon movement. I've only seen the Tourbillons on "PAM077" and the "Antiquorum Tourbillon". At first I thought it was rep, but the fit and finish was too clean, plus the CG was beefy like a gen. I did not want to disturb them, so I did not ask him about this watch. Does anyone have any information on this mystery Panerai?
t Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 do you think this guy worn a $100.000 watch at dinner
sssurfer Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 As the 077 has been made in an unique edition of 2 (two) units, it is priceless and not likely to be worn at anyone's dinner other than with a bodyguards full army around. It is also a very characterized model (no black/charcoal dial, btw), it would not leave you in doubt about it. Conversely, a fake tourbillon is a distinctive feature of the worst, cheapest, low-end PAM reps around. Something we are not used to look at.
