PAMman Posted April 17, 2007 Report Share Posted April 17, 2007 Yes, you should be 'able' to wind the watch with the CG lever closed, on both gens and reps, but it is not advisable to do so, as the closed lever puts pressure on the rubber 'o' ring under the crown and winding in this position would cause excessive wear of the seal. If it winds as if there was no lever when it is closed look to see if the lever contacts the crown when it is closed. There is nothing more infuriating than "floppy" lever.
