Rob1
Got a new rep today with an asian 7750 (with the chrono module removed apparently). The second hand seems to stutter ever so slightly rather than sweep smoothly. Is this the sign of a problem with the movement, or it is normal? In the few hours I've been wearing it the watch seems to keep OK time, so not sure how the slight stuttering is affecting things.
Richard Tracy
How many automatics to you own ? Most have slight stuttering,..though I would guess that you should have The Zigmeister clean & lube yours it being a Asian 7750....

Three other automatics with full size second hands (rather than subdials) and all sweep smoothly. The watch is already booked in with The Zigmeister, and he'll have it in a couple of weeks time to weave his magic!
RWG Technical
If your referring to the chrono large seconds hand, it can stutter more on some models than others... It's driven by a tilting pinion gear, and that gear, the second gear, and the chrono seconds gear, all have slight tolearnces, sometimes these are all on the upper limits, and you get a slight stutter...sometimes the engagement of the tilting pinion into the chrono seconds gear is not adjusted correctly, and this is the cause. Sometimes it can be corrected, other times, it can't. Does not affect timekeeping, it's just a visual thing. RG
ExtraExtra
The stutter in mine looks more like the way a quartz would tick. When the chrono seconds is activated, it would have these 'ticks' all over the place. Is this still a tilting pinion or send back to dealer? RWG Technical
Probably the tilting pinion... RG
