An ultra thin Indian movement

Doing an internet search I came across this site www.tata.com/titan/releases/20020521.htm

It is an original Titan Edge, not a replica of a famous make, which sells for $150. My question is, could it be possible for replica watch companies to use this fantastic ultra thin quartz movement rather than an unreliable Asian one?

Read how much research and development went into perfecting this timepiece.

It could be worth giving it a try.
