OEM 16610 bezel, insert & washer

I have all these nifty OEM 16610 parts (bezel, insert & washer) and was wondering if these could be successsfully installed in a TW best case (older model with side case holes).

I understand that the bezel click mechanism of the TW is different from the one employed on the original. However, I am willing to sacrifice bezel rotation for a watch that is more accuate and with higher quality parts installed.

I'm not sure if this transplant is possible but thought to ask before taking appart my trusty TW. I believe Cabbage and others might have tried this but I don't recall reading what the final outcome of the project was.

Any and all suggestions are most welcomed.
