faonmyea Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 this is the wrong mag right? and the hands shouldn't be this dirty right?
archibald Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 The mag you're just going to have to live with for the time being--I believe the OEM 40mm PAMs use a 5mm cyclops, so we can probably count on the makers to keep using the old substandard cyclopses on the reps. Are the hands' defects really visible at actual-size? I used to have this sydrome where I'd be happy with a rep until I snapped shots to show off or ask a queation here. Then, after noticing some flaw at 165X, I wouldn't be able to wear the watch w/o worrying about the 6 micron ding on the crown guard. If it's visible w/ the naked eye at norman check-the-time distances, contact the dealer for a replacement set of hands or watch. If not, don't sweat it.
sssurfer Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Date font and magnification in the 050 is probably the best of all PAM reps.
faonmyea Posted April 22, 2006 Author Report Posted April 22, 2006 do the 050s have a single clasp or double? i keep seeing different stuff.
Cucumber_Jones Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Close up there are always disapointments. If anyone sees your watch this close then I hope he/she is really cute!
thedoctor Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Nice date font. I didn't realize the font on my 2893 movement 029 was so wimpy until I met someone with a real panerai. The font was big and bold as well as the mag.
