tgchrono2 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 (edited) hello, iam wondering why the Red letter 1665 has yellowish hour markers & the white letter one has white hour markers..... Were also the genuines 1665 produced like these ? Also how much does it costs - the ''good versions'' of MBW (MBK store) ? Edited June 4, 2007 by tigerdaytona
Seadweller4000 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 AFAIK, all 1665 were produced with tritium. It yellows and looses luminosity when aging. The red lettered dials should be about 5-10 years older than the white lettered - therefore the repmakers made them more yellow (my guess). However, I have seen pictures of genuines which weren't yellowed at all... (Maybe they were stored in a safe all the time, who knows?)
