Rolex Crown Question

I have baught several 'genuine' and oem crowns for several reps - explorer, air king, dj etc. But they are not the same. The are the same size - 6mm, but none of them seem quite right.

Are there different versions of the same size crown? For example - The one on the gen explorer seems thinner than the ones I have.

As you've experienced, there are several 6mm crowns with different dimensions. Two of the most common are the 24-600, for the daydate, and the 24-603, for the datejust (these two look similar from the outside, but won't fit the same tube).
