DRSD in sub case

Has anyone that has the cheaper DRSD in the sub case (you know the one sold by many dealers around the net) placed the thicker bezel on it? If this would work does anyone know a source for just the bezel, (not the insert)? I've read that the first year DRSD did have the thinner sub case and even have a few saved pics of it, but even the first year DRSD with the thin sub case had the thicker Seadweller bezel.
