Help with Panerai Arktos GMT purchase

I am new to rep watches and am looking to purchase a Arktos GMT. I fly to Beijing regularly and check out the watches there, however it is hard to tell the quality(even if they say it is swiss copy). I saw on Andrew's website the Updated Arktos GMT. Can anyone who might have the watch tell me a few things:

I know generally reps aren't water resistant, but can I wear it swimming?

How reliable is the movement?

Any other buying suggestions.
