zinberg Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Hello there. I've been doing some research on the superocean and I found two versions at same price of $328USD but one has ETA 2824 and the other is an ETA 2836-2. Any thoughts on the two movements? Thank you.
Daytona4me Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) I wonder why someone would put a 2836 (day/date) in a watch that only displays date (not that it has not been done before), it is an unnecessary complication. They are both quality ETA movements, either would do just fine imo. Edited January 14, 2008 by Daytona4me
rocky78 Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 seems that the "new" ones comes with eta 2836, wonder if 2836 datewheel fits to 2824? It (2836) seems to have better font, the lume also looks better, I would go with 2836
