Uhrenfreund25 Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Hi! I'm interested in buying a Rolex Daytona. Which one could you recommend for my purchase? Any very good/accurate versions available? What are the most flaws I have to take care of? Thank you, guys!
Uhrenfreund25 Posted June 14, 2006 Author Report Posted June 14, 2006 After I have seen now, what is available on modern DAYTONAs, I'd prefer a vintage-edition. Any recommendation?
djtimodj Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Hi, I am also in the market for a daytona. As your aware the new secs @ 6 Daytonas are very unreliable i am looking for a pre2000 model where the secs are @ 9 still. this still uses the old asian 7750 but with out the funny gears of the new model. im looking for a good ss black face. Tim.
Uhrenfreund25 Posted June 16, 2006 Author Report Posted June 16, 2006 What about Precious-Time's Vintage Daytona Lemania? What do you think about it?
ehtolcad Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 well if you want vintage you can go with the asian 7750, the venus (which is often incorrectly referred to as lemania) or a cheap day/date faux chrono. last but not leat you could get a a bi-compax dw, but those aren't as easy to obtain. what is MOST important to you? reliability of the movement? visual accuracy? functionality of the movement? ease of the transaction? each has + and - i'd suggest doing a bit more research before having someone tell you what you should or should not buy. what i like or will overlook may not be what you like or are able to live with. best of luck in your search.
