wiseguy15
hello. im looking to purchase a corum admiral's cup 48mm soon, but i have a concern regarding the ar. i know it has light ar coating on the rep, but i'd like to know if double ar or the default ar is closer to gen. i've read some of the threads about the ar on this watch, but some ppl say that double ar is closer to gen and some say single ar is closer. my AD dosen't have this watch, so i haven't been able to see for myself. can someone confirm which is closer to gen? thanks. Dario33
I saw these at the AD a couple weeks ago and the gen's looked to be double AR to me (though not much tint). I need someone to keep me honest though since this was only my perspective and not confirmed.
JBUSTDEL
Sorry but the Corum's AR is single at all... I can see it with the original in my hands.
k2222
imo all new Corums are double coated.
wiseguy15
so i guess its 1 sided ar coating since JBUSTDEL has the original in hand? still seems like there's no real consensus.
HauteHippie
JBUSTDEL's observation is in line with Dario33's in my opinion. Because if you're not sure if a gen crystal is double AR or single AR coated, then it's most likely single AR coated... Double is too obvious. So it sounds like Corum's are single AR.
