Usil Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 I have a large wrist and the standard 115/75 strap just does not work for me. I need 125/85 as a minimum and 130/85 is better. I have looked at a half dozen strap sources and while a few have selected sizes at 125/85 the straps I would like came only in the standard length. For those that have large wrists and buy nice leather or croc/gator straps (hopefully paying no more than about 100.00) for them, where do you get them? Anyone share their sources on this? or strap makers - contact me for options? Thanks, Usil
kasigi Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 HKTan (Aaron) will custom make any length you like - I have an 8¼ wrist and even the 130/85 is pushing it a bit for me, they fit but I have to remove the second hoop and it's not the tidiest thing. Europelli sells long length, they're not cheap but the quality is superb and Drew is very helpful. Talk to Aaron, his stuff is right in your budget. K.
Usil Posted June 18, 2006 Author Report Posted June 18, 2006 HKTAN - I see them mentioned a lot of places but he does not seem to be listed in the watch accessories section. Is Aaron a member of this forum? Is there a web site to go to to view his straps? I just found a link to a photobucket for HKTAN1. But do not know a password to enter. Can anyone be more specific with contact information? Thanks, Usil

JJFlash Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 I am a big wrist boy also. Best sources for me: Banda - http://www.banda.com/catalogue.php?category=69 The Watch Boys - http://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/thre...26gt%3B%26gt%3B
Linder Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 Wow, this is a nice thread.. definately need to bookmark this one. For reference, I just picked up a "long" Patek Philippe 125x85 Shiny Black Aligator strap from my local AD for $210 plus tax.
Usil Posted June 19, 2006 Author Report Posted June 19, 2006 Thanks to all for the contributions of good information. This is what this forum is famous for. I wonder how many of us have a drawer full of bands we bought early on in our collecting that are just too short for practical use? Usil
