Guest paneraifreak Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 What a watch for the money. $190 shipped.... unbelievable value for the money. Built like Fort Knox Thick, heavy chunk of steel and yet it wears surprisingly well. And the lume...!!!! Nothing like it. now get this: I exposed all my three watches (rep Evo, gen Seamaster and the Zilla) to a fluorescent bulb FOR ONLY 45 SECONDS and this is what the result was: Steel Zilla by light years! the watch has a proprietary bracelet that is comfortable, smooth and tight. The buckle is push button flip lock with micro adjustments. The crystal is 6mm thick with single AR on the inside which is smart as AR on the outside can scratch. The outer bezel can unscrew to free up the inner bezel for good cleaning. The caseback is beautiful with a deep engraving of a diver's brass helmet (Citizen was first with this caseback, before the Aquaracer)....the caseback unscrews in two ways to uncover either the movement or the end link connection for removing the bracelet. the bracelet is truly design with sturdiness in mind: is does not use springbars, it is screwed onto the case, making the watch the safest to take down below...unlike these pretend dive watches out there that everybody buys....and sports... also....the watch does NOT have a HE valve like the Seadweller as most real divers will tell you, a good dive watch does not need a HE valve and many pro divers feel the the HE valve is merely a marketing gimmick.... Also, the dial on the Zilla is again true to what divers appreciate: big, visible markers that glows like radioactive goo.... the bezel is bold and design with deep gouges for ease of handling with dive gloves... the hands are colored differently also for a useful purpose.... the crwo screws in so smoothly and tightly all the way down to the case.... the power reserve on this monster is legendary...as it is Solar powered with a high resolution capacitor.... Overall, this is the best my small wallet could ever buy, period....
