vlydog Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 I have seen many Panerai lovers sporting the pre-v style buckle on their straps but fewer seem to have the thumbnail style. Which Panerai models were sold with the thumbnail style? Is it a matter of taste or were there certain models that came with thumbnail? Thanks, Vlydog
cc Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 to my knowledge, i know the 063 sports a thumbnail buckle.......anything else......well i'm not sure.
Fish Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 (edited) From A to G series the thumbnail buckle was standard, except for the 005 which started with the G-series.From H onwards it was the Pre-V style buckle. But many PAM-fans chose the Pre-V or similar since there is much more choice with straps in 24/24. Edited May 21, 2008 by Fish
UncleJay Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 The thumbnail (Adrillion) buckles were standard on all handwind models from A to G series. These were later changed to the new Pre-V style. The 0 and 5 Logos were changed later during the H series. Handwind Model Buckles: Pre-A: 22mm sewn-in (24X22) A-Series: 22mm Adrillion (aka thumbnail) with two screws (24X22) very few were made of these A-F Series: Adrillion (aka thumbnail) with one screw (24X22) G Series on: Pre-V style (with screw) (24X22) PAM0000 and 0005 changed from Adrillion to Pre-V style in H Series.
