alant Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Hi pals, I have a rose gold pam watch but realised some parts the rose gold plating starts to show signs of peeling. I was thinking the watch case should be originally in stainless steel, they just plate it so that it looks like rose gold. So an idea came across my mind today morning, what if 'sand' off all the rose gold plating, will I end up having a stainless steel watch case? This may not be a new idea, maybe someone has done it before. So what type of sand paper should I get and will my idea work? Or are there other ways to achieve the same result? Hope to hear from you all. Thanks in advance. Have a nice weekend!
alant Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 Another thought came across my mind. Does anyone know where could I buy the stainless steel radiomir casing with crown guard and maybe the hour/minute/second hands? Then I could swap the movement and dial over to the stainless steel casing which could be the easier way out. Any comments?
