bwhitesox
Just received a new PAM and the crown sits flush against the case and feels funny when winding <---technical expression. It is not rubbing against the case but feels like it isn't winding freely...You know normally you wind and it clicks back a little before you wind again...With this one you wind and it just sits there and almost feels like it does when the movement is nearly fully wound. Is it that the stem is cut just a tad too short and inside the watch it is kind of pulling a bit on the movement. I am wanting to replace the crown with one of T's ones so maybe this would give me a chance to put a slightly longer stem in its place. Any ideas? bruce79
If your comfortable with it, try uncasing the movement and re-inserting the stem...and wind...do you feel the same sort of resistance or does it wind smoothly? This will tell you if your stem is too short.
bwhitesox
Good idea Bruce, Might wait until I have the new crown before I uncase this.
bruce79
Well no need to wait...just do it...should take a few minutes...besides, don't you want to know now if you've got to get the movement serviced rather than after you've waited for your crown to arrive?
