Bizzon
I have a rep Oris CCLE. I believe it has an asian 7750 with running sec at 3. The very first day it ran +15 min. I thought maybe it was a warm up period, but the fast time hasn't stopped; one week now. I don't know enough about mechanical watches to know what the problem or solution is. I was hoping someone could help me out. Is there any hope? Is this watch junk or can it be repaired? What are my options? I have a few reps and this is the first time I've seen this problem. Thank You!!!
vric
+15 minutes is beyond what a regulation can do. Need servicing.
fakemaster
That is extreme. Definitely needs servicing.
TK471
Let me suggest to you that it may have been magnetized. In this case, any watchmaker can likely fix it in under five minutes. They all have tool they use to de-magnetize the watch, and they don't even have to open it. It's also possible that it has been over-oiled and some of it has gotten onto the spring. In this case, it WILL need to be serviced. I would suggest getting it de-magnetized first before you send the watch off for service.
