paulw Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 I see your point about the thickness of the straps compared to the bulk of the Watch. But there is a good reason why you have never seen a SC strap on a Breitling. Problem is, what is true for a PAM, doesn't always hold true for a Breitling. Even gen PAM owners will sometimes use non gen straps but very rarely do you see a Breitling sporting anything other than a Breitling strap. I plan on purchasing a gen Breitling strap for my grey dial Skyland.
Lugnegard Posted September 4, 2008 Author Report Posted September 4, 2008 I totally understand your opinion about being true, PAM and Breitling are very different and I just want to find the same kind of look but for a Breitling. Perhaps the bracelet and the Rubber is the best way to go for a Skyland.
paulw Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Have a look at the topic titled: Skyland now on leather. Looks pretty good.
Lugnegard Posted September 4, 2008 Author Report Posted September 4, 2008 I must agree that that strap looks very nice indeed! Perhaps I should into some aftermarket Breitling calf straps.
rogerthat Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Any 22MM strap would fit, but as previously mentioned... I have never seen a gen Breitling watch on any leather other than Breitling brand. So, unlike a PAM your Breitling rep will look like a rep for the strap alone. Breitling makes nice Calf straps and the BEST CROC straps I have ever seen or worn. If you like leather over a bracelet upgrade to a gen strap. Cheers, M
BROM Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 I wear my Blue Skyland on gen blue rubber it absolutely brings the color of the dial out, also have a Grey faced one that I have worn on black rubber and on the ss bracelet but I think it will go best with a Gen Croc deployant.
