Gen Parts for UPO

hi guys,

need to ask for opinion on this. I have all along liked the look of the UPO 45mm. Am thinking of getting one with orange bezel and also some gen parts to make it more gen-like. I am thinking the gen dial, hands, crystal, crown and possibly bezel. All these parts will not be cheap and was just wondeing if it will be worth it and also if maybe some may not needed. I was thinking of the bezel do I really need to change it to a gen bezel? All opinions would be appreciated!

You can't use the gen bezel, only the insert. Unfortunately they come as a package and you can't request one without the other. Regarding your other questions, it depends on how much you want to spend. I've sunk about $1,300 USD into mines. It's not for the faint of heart.

Thanks. So the other parts will work on a UPO? As for the bezel, how is the quality of a rep orange bezel and is there any other alternative on the insert?

I think you're confusing the two. The bezel is the part that you turn with your hand. The insert goes on top of the bezel. We cannot use the gen bezel but we can use the gen insert. Again you have to buy it as a package and your gen bezel becomes a very nice paperweight. The other gen parts, crystal/dial/hands/crown/tube all work well on the UPO.

Sorry, my mistake. I actually meant to ask if there is another way of getting an insert without having to buy the gen bezel? It seems like a waste of good money. Is the rep insert really that bad? Can it be modded by of the modders?

The problem isn't with the insert, it's with the pearl and the position of the pearl on the insert. No you cannot buy an insert without buying the bezel. Omega packages them together.
