frankmb Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I sent my ETA datejust to have the dial replaced and here's the reply I got : The biggest issue is that there is no way that dial will fit in the cases. The dial markers for the hours are in the wrong position. The dial feet need to be removed (I did it on the white one to attempt it) because of this there needs to be spacers under the dial to clear the overlay. The one that is getting the white dial was the project one and the overlay got scratched in the 20's. I never thought that the pressure of casing it would cause the retainer to compress so much that it would come close to the indicator wholes of the numerals. The dials are not proper for the case. The silver markers above the numerals are in the wrong place for the case and they "hit" the bottom of the case causing it to fit too tight and bow the dial if I were to tighten it down. We are thinking the dial might be for Asian 21j movement. Does anyone know if this could be the case? Thanks, Frank
