I m a child of ebay so I m only really familiar with paypal, Is bank transfer safe as I dont like the idea of anyone knowing my account and sort code. Demsey Posted January 15, 2009 Report Share Posted January 15, 2009 I opened a separate bank account with a Visa "check card" for internet purchases. I transfer/make a deposit for only the amount of the pending purchase, and otherwise keep a $50 balance for maintenance fees as it sits idle. That is some protection from an illicit withdrawl, but still may expose your personal information if a 'hacker' were determined I suppose. Not really sure how that all works. I have sold and purchased several gen Rolex Datejusts over the years and not had any problems. Do your homework on your buyers and make sure the draft actually clears before shipping your item.
