Bizzon Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 I tend to prefer leather straps on my watches . The straps that come on many of the reps I own are of sub-par quality. I have purchased new straps for a few of mine but it can get expensive . In some cases the straps will be worth more then the watch itself! The straps that tend to be the worst are on my dress watches, which should look the best. I got black and brown leather straps with alligator designs. Does anybody have any tips on making these straps look more authentic. I was thinking of using shoe polish . What are your thoughts? Thank You,
tazzman Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 ive got info from HK TAN (Aaron) through another member on this site (hehe) but anyhow he recommended clear shoe polish. I tried it on the rep-strap of the Santos 100 .. it looked 10x better, didnt feel better - but looked better. =) - tazz
