jibuti
Just wanted to share my lately full-serviced mechs along with cousins...I do not think pics are good enough for photo-forum, so I did put it here. . . . And I'm talking about one which is outside case... It is 620 cal., measures almost the same as 616, 618. . . .
l3x
Very cool. Congrats. Is there a difference between the Cortebert 620 and 620 R? What's the R stand for?
jibuti
Thanks. I believe R stands for railroad version /got that answer from S./, simply from railroad pocket watch. Otherwise I found no difference between both movements. But I could be wrong, still. About this one there is no such amount of information like, lets say, most popular 616. This one fits in most of 47 mm cases, front / DSN / or back load. . . .
l3x
Thnx for the info. Can't wait to see the finish product. What are your plans? Give us some background on the "cousins." Fantastic collection you have...will fit right in
jibuti
First I wanted to make vintage 6152/1, similar to dadog's, but with Cortebert mechs. . . The local watchsmith which was prepared to do it retired, so that project stopped for a while. Am collecting funds to do it with S., if lucky.... So, aside 616 which is still on me and waiting for parts for other project, this 620 is on sale (only not here.... ) About cousins... -127 is with sapphire crystal, flattened pin, fixed CG-flat and glue fix, 3 yrs old; -MM20 is from Trusty, vintagized by RG Singaporean friend-noctilume, aged strap, GPF buckle, aged seethru caseback, dial, hands,. . . . -Rad is a fantasy version (though one of my favourites), destro, Fiddy case, DSN hands and dial, big custom made plexi, Gen swiss 6497, aged case, (thanks Etto,...!) Pantast 5mm strap. -Kampschwimmer is only base for now, aged dial and rivetted strap, Asian 6497, nothing special, daily beater; Of course you can PM me with additional q's. cheers, D.
