Hongkytonkman Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 hi guys, I'm planning to restore a pretty bashed up closed caseback w/ engravings...(it's a PAM B series) I've checked w/ my watchsmith having the expertise solely in the polishing business.. and he states.... 'the engravings will only result in a satin finish(which is not accurate to the current flat, unpolished engraving).. SINCE to restore the swirl(circle) brushed finish and still minimize the engravings from getting lighter, the case has to be intially polished. (which means the engravings cannot be brushed after this process)' Anyone w/ the expertise to chime in on this matter? Thanks HKT
