mlaskin
Kind of new to the Forum, but I have a question....Does anyone make a superior Radiomir case? I am looking for one where the corners come to more of a "point" like the gen. case. On most of the rep cases the corners do not look like they do on a gen case. Plus I'd like one where the lug-wires are really secure. I've seen a few of these rep Radiomir cases and have yet to see one that really is top notch. But my experience is limited, so I'd appreciate some input. I am willing to pay up for a really good case. This is for a project - any suggestions? I'd appreciate all information. Many thanks, Michael Laskin. email me at: chezlaskin@sbcglobal.net
l3x
Looks to be a fun project. Are you searching for a vintage radiomir (3646) with big plexi, weded lugs, etc. or one of the modern ones sapphire, etc. ?
mlaskin
Looks to be a fun project. Are you searching for a vintage radiomir (3646) with big plexi, weded lugs, etc. or one of the modern ones sapphire, etc. ? I think I am looking for a modern case. BUT - I want one that is better than the ones I've seen so far. I bought one from Davidsen a while back, and frankly it isn't great. Maybe I got a bad one, but the back fits poorly, the lug wires are not really secure, and the crown is not very good as well. I have a Tourby movement, which is great, and I want to build a radiomir watch around it. The case the key for me. Any sources would be appreciated. Regarding the vintage cases, I am under the impression that most of those are custom-made or highly modified. Does anyone sell them, or are they on a custom basis? Thanks.
