Chrome Plated Railmaster Homage watch

I got this "very affordable" Railmaster homage as my birthday present. A quartz. Been wearing mechanical auto watches for more than 11 years, so this is quite a change for me. I still love my auto watches.

Anyway, I know it's a cheap watch, most likely if I wear it every day, it will get oxidized at certain parts of the watch.

But for sentimental reason, I'm trying to figure out how to maintain it from oxidation. Unless I don't wear it... Any suggestions?

spray it with clear coat or varnish underside were the case touches you wrist and you will be good to go !

My father used to do this with the temples of his gold plated sunglasses. 10 years after they are like new.
