  1. Hi guys, Here are some pictures of my Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Dual Time. Inside is a 23J movement with working power reserve. The dimensions are diametre 43,5 mm x 14,5mm thk. They said it's a working 2 time zone and that I have to set via the crown. I've got no idea how, so that's why the time is the same... Enough talk, let's go to the fun part:

  2. Glad to see your, even if I didn't know you before An V2 Ploprof is 99% the same as gen. One of omega super reps. In line with LMPO, CrPO and others. A really solid piece. About ~$300. There also is a so-called V1.5 which has non working orange number and one piece caseback, but who points these flaws from your wrist? Also lume on V1.5 is better than on V2. It's about $140. 6. I really believe that sending one back to China is a real crap shoot, you may win, but you darn sure may lose. like someone else said, it's no guarantee that should your watch make it through Chinese customs, airport freight handlers, etc. the dealer gets the watch it gets thrown In a pile of others, and weeks later, someone else comes by checks on the watches, and thinks they are fixed, they get boxed up and sent back. Hope yours gets through and arrives back fixed, but why subject yourself to all the worry, expense and drama? find a rep friendly watch maker, send or take it to him, get it serviced, and you are good to go for a long time.

  8. I gambled and sent one back once and it never made it. I will never gamble and do it again. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

  9. U probably don't want to hear this but as Jpz stated most of the experienced members suggest not to send back to China. I don't know if I have back luck but out of the 12 watches I have bought in the last few months 5 needed to be fixed. I was lucky enough to find a great Watchsmith in the US who is rep friendly and is very good. Some I purchased from trusted dealers and some were off the sales boards. While it costs a little more to send them to the WS--depending on what they need, when I get them back I will know they are in good working order and will operate properly for a long time. Anymore when I am looking at buying a piece I add on the cost of sending to the WS for a "check up". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Mark - I wish you all the luck. If you read around you'll see this is not the recommended way about getting a rep repaired. It may cost more out of pocket but it is usually a safer bet to repair it yourself. You'll likely get your watch back, but it's likely to be the same watch with nothing actually done to it.

  11. No one at E-bay has the knowledge to call them out, you think. What is common knowledge in our little world is horological expertise on a level only seen in master watch smiths. We eat sleep and breath this stuff.

  12. Nice ESP Iceman copy. I like ESP because they used jumbo frets. As a professional musician I cannot see using rep guitars for two reasons; durability, and playability. The inferior parts cannot hold up to the intense pressures that I place on my guitars. It's hard enough to find a playable perfect gen with the best hardware let alone a rep. Guitars are more of a precision instrument than a watch because they have to hold precise tuning frequencies, without losing them even under outrageous pressure. I play scalloped guitars so I had to make my own since there were non commercially available. I bought the very first Fender Yngwei scalloped model when it came out, circa 1988, though the one I hand carved myself is way better. Here are some photos My former teacher Paul Gilbert signed it, and so did Joe Satriani. Here's the Yngwei
