  1. My dear gentlemen.

I'm proud to introduce you my DeepSea SeaDweller. It has arrive today from Tony a fella seller I met at Cqout and with whom I've stablished a long term business relation that lasts two years.

The main point is the price, I got it at 90 bucks shipping included. Tony made a great discount for being a returning customer.

The first impression, overall good. The watch is heavy as a rock, in spite of my first thoughts, the bracelet feels a little heavier and less flimsy than others found in subs and sds. It's all brushed like the gen and it has the glidelock clasp. It also has the ridiculous tapering from the endlinks to the clasp.

You can have a glance right now, I rubbed the bracelet to take all the fingerprints I left sizing it. As you can see, the crystal gets any glare around. It's domed mineral. The dial is well executed the lacquering is good and the markers are fine. I hope one of you mates tell if the hands are right.

Here's the glidelock clasp, at first very hard to open and engage but a little lube and works really fine. Sorry for the quality but I'm not used to macros yet, shame on me!!!

I think that the measures come nearly to the gen, the case is 43 mm w/o crown and it's 17'8 mm tall. Here you can see a side view. Note that the crown sits a bit low for accomodating the movement I guess:

Talking 'bout the movement it has a 21j mov. installed. I think it's hi beat because the second hand moves nearly as fast as my swiss 4th gen PO. I've not been able to open the caseback because my rolex opening tool doesn't fit.

Here you can see a close up of the pearl and bezel engravings. Obviously at this price there's no ceramic at all but the insert shines like a diamond although in this photo it's hardly noticeable. Ooops I forgot to tell that the lume is green!!

Finally a mandatory wristshot and a group photo with his workmate PO. The PO is not working because it has been in its box for nearly two weeks:

I hope you have enjoyed this little review. I'll be posting some more pics in the next few days. Cheers!!!

  2. simple - you have surplus from the previously repped model - the ceramic GMT

and leave the scratch in the buyer to wait for the next "ULTIMATE VERSION" so that he can spend another 300 bucks on it

    Dear Gentlemen.

I've found this one at this site Tony's site. I've felt compelled to buy it, and since I'm a returning customer I've gotten a great discount, and have made it for 120$ (88 EUR) shipping included. I must say that all the watches I've bought from Tony are a good budget-quality ratio.

I know this model has flaws, but the bracelet is all brushed, the pearl rises from the insert and doesn't look flat like other versions.

Tony has assured this model to have the glidelock clasp, (we'll see if this is true) and don't know if the hands are a tad short, maybe I'm becoming short sighted. One main flaw, the crown position. It rests low between the CGs, maybe due to the position of the movement inside the case.

So, what do you think? It think is a good try, and most of all I've not spent a lot of money.

  3. Freddy's one is from etayahonpo site, that dealer will not ship outside of Japan.

Wow didn't see that coming. I think I'll wait some more to see if there're any improvements made to the existing ones.

Gentlemen, as always RWG is a source of help and fraternity. Thanks!!

  4. I think that is the trusty josh one, the cut out at the back of the crown guards gives it away as theres

Hey Fxr the one Freddy was referring can be found at this siteLink to watch

Shame they don't have an english language site. The price is 42000 JPY, that makes 271 EUR or 396 USD.

I think is way better than josh and trusty's ones. At least this has the stainless steel he-valve, non titanium version like the ones before. The bracelet and clasp are all brushed as well. The rehaut inscriptions are black and not fadish grey. But the best is the bezel, I think it's made from true ceramic, looking thoroughly at the photos.

I think we have a winner gentlemen. My luck I haven't taken the plunge yet to Paul's one.

If a japanese speaker or reader is among us, any hints or tips will be welcome.

  5. im waiting someone to have this Deep Sea Rolex replica watch reviewed .... I dont care for some flaws (like crown guards, super lume etc)

Only the bezel & polished middle links (but if i can brush them by myself easily...)

I can't take no more this anxiety. I've emailed Paul to see if the clasp is just like the one trusty sells and got affirmative response so I'm taking the plunge with the asian version (179$ shipped).

The bracelet matter can be easily fixed with a 400 grain sand paper, scotch pad to buff and give satin finish and then a bit of Cape Cod. This I've done before with the bracelet of my invicta submariner, which had polished middle links.

The bezel is a regular steel one, but engraved to give it a ceramic look. I guess one will be able to switch the insert to a ceramic one later when the improved version goes out at the end of the year.

    Wish me luck gentlemen!

  6. For the moment i advise the people who are considering this one to hold their horses... as many have said this is way off in any sense of the word...

Then again if u can live with it as it is i guess then go ahead but be sure that anyone who knows the watch will spot it as a rep and a bad one at that from a mile away...

still to each its own i suppose ;)

    regards laz

How wise are those words!! I'll definitely wait for a real decent rep. As you said, it has many flaws and easily to spot.

There's no need to hurry, we have all the time in the world!

  7. This morning my SMP chrono came in ( thnx PT)

The factory rept this one again, the bezel is in the right place now..... :D

The datewindow is to close to the chronometer, that's a shame, the writing doesn't have the red colors, but pearl looks nice, and i think they have changed the case as well, the crown screws in really deep.....

What do you guys think,is it improved or not ? i'm not sure

And !!!!!!!! thumbs up and many thanks to by-tor for his review of the chrono, without him, i wouldn't have known what i know now......

    So, many many thanks..

Hi Jason, which dealer did you buy it from? Looks awesome!!!

  8. Been strolling to some watch forums and came across this beauty. In the mean time I'm modding a noob case to fit a 14060 dial and crystal I found a special offer at ebay and couldn't resist buying it.

It arrived yesterday and I wanted to introduce it to you: My new invicta 8926

    th_24033_invicta_122_471lo.jpg

I haven't been able to make some more photos but I have to tell you that it carries a Miyota 8215. The main flaw of this movement's that it hasn't a hack feature.

What do you think about the watch? I think it's a stunner and once on the wrist it feels heavy and has a presence.

  9. AFAIK the gen 14060 crystal won't fit a noobmariner.

The cyclops can be taken of the noob crystal quite easily.

Dial will fit the case, but not the movement.

I am collecting parts for doing the same thing :)

    Dear gentlemen.

Thanks for your encouraging posts, but one question. How do i remove the mag from the crystal?

  10. Dear friends.

I'm planning to mod a noob case with the following mods (getting a no date submariner):

    -14060 crystal

    -a much better insert

    -14060 dial

-drill lugs (I've already started and it's p*** in the a**!!!)

Will the crystal and dial fit into a noob case?

Once again thanks in advance for your more than prompt responses.

  11. That one is not too bad. The price is not too bad for a 21J but I have no idea who that seller is so I wouldn't take the chance. As always the pearl is terrible and the bracelet looks pretty bad too. Overall though I like it a lot better than the Silix one.

Hi PilotWatch, the web belongs to a CQOut seller called tonyxkf. I've dealt with him many times and have never been dissapointed. I think I'll give this watch a try.
