  1. Ive said in the past that I am up for a creative resolution to this problem. Be it a partial refund or him getting me a real MBW case, things are open for negotiation. I have yet to receive any word from him other than his post on this board. Still no resolution.
  2. This morning this thread has illustrated a key point. The cream rises to the top....and the junk sinks to the bottom. Hemi is now residing square at the bottom of the glass.
  3. I did email Bodo before filing a Paypal dispute. I can provide email timestamps to prove this. As far as being out of money, here is my response from the other board: The financial problems are strictly a result from the sale of the watch. I sold the watch to Manny and used the money to buy a Gen Tag Heuer. I would not have bought a gen Tag Heuer had I not made the money from the sale of the supposed vintage MBW. So I sold the watch to Manny, bought the Gen Tag. Then a week or so after the sale, Manny emails me with concerns about the watch. I was under the impression that I bought an MBW. Could I tell the difference? No. But I paid for an MBW and wanted an MBW. So now, Manny emails me and wants his money back. His money is already spent on the Tag on my wrist. Do I have an extra $600 laying around? No, of course I dont. I emailed Bodo to explain the situation. Until he saw photographic evidence, he would not admit the watch was not an MBW.
  4. Thats the classy thing to do....call people gay. Way to man up.
  5. Thanks for the back up, Rob. Ive sent several emails to Bodo this week, no response on any. Buyers beware.
  6. refunded manny close to $600. at this point Bodo is telling me im [censored] out of luck. my bank account is SEVERELY hurting now. damn. he has been somewhat less than helpful through this whole thing. you would expect more from someone who is supposed to be a respected member. i would caution anyone about doing business with Bodo.
  7. PayPal wont file a dispute because it was over 45 days ago.
  8. Agreed....but Bodo doesnt share our point of view.
  9. manny has been refunded and I am out nearly $600 for a piece of [censored] rep. Bodo is at home in the Mother Land counting his Deustchmarks and I am ready to find this Hemicuda and kick him in the [censored] skull. If you are reading this Hemicuda, your mothers uterus should be chastised for housing your lying, stealing ass for 9 months. You owe me $600.
  10. Bodo sent me a note saying that he would refund any money he sees from Hemicuda. Is there a realistic chance of this happening?
  11. anyway to post some photos? that might really help!
  12. if i understand correctly, kanone and hemicuda are the same person. apparently he is a modder. bodo said he sent an mbw to him and got this watch back. apparently the modder has a rep for doing this. my follow up questions to that are: 1) if he has a rep for doing this in the past, why would you send a watch like an MBW to him for mods? 2) if you did decide to send to him for mods, wouldnt you check to make sure you got the same watch back from him? in my opinion, the onus here is on Bodo. It should now be an issue for him to take up with the modder. i am refunding manny his money. just hoping i get mine back from Bodo. he already sent me a note saying no.
  13. watch was purchased from Bodo off TRC board.
  14. welll, i am the middle man in all of this. I bought the watch from Bodo, advertised as a MBW. I sold the watch a couple months later as an MBW to manny. Manny wants his money back because it isnt an MBW. i also was buying it thinking it was an MBW. where should this go? experienced members, please help!!!!
  15. Got the watch in the mail over the weekend from the ebay auction. It is gen. The links look like they are all one piece but they really are two. One of the posts above said that it was a rep because of this. I think the links are so well made they fit together and look solid. Nice and heavy watch, especially for a Tag. Serial number is scratched out so I am betting the watch is hot. My very first nice watch was a Tag professional 200 I got for a high school graduation. Had gen rolex's and omega's since then. Never thought Id get another Tag, but this one feels so solid and big, unlike the professional 200. Very impressed with this Tag!
  16. What do you guys think...Gen or Rep? I know these pictures pretty much suck, but it was all I could get ahold of right now. What do yall think?? Any input would help.
  17. sorry...thats what i meant but wasnt as eloquent in my description.
  18. forgive me if this topic has been discussed before. i ran a search and found nothing. i just purchsed a fully modded MBW red sub. its been my holy grail watch for awhile now. i love the domed crystal and the face on the one i bought is aged to perfection. i cant wait to get it and i am praying that customs keeps their grubby hands off of it. anyway, does anyone know the history of the red sub? ive read some stuff on different sites and while most agree that the run on these was 1969-1973, there is some argument as the length of the run. some say it ran all the way into the late 70s, possibly 1979. are there any rolex history buffs that might be able to shed some light onto this. now that i have purchased one, id love to know more about it. and now, for some eye candy:
  19. if customs and or the department of homeland security are overly concerned about replica watches, then something is wrong. maybe they should be reading al-queda message boards instead of RWG. Seriously, IMO, if you think customs people are reading this board, you have big time delusions of grandeur. no offense, but i would imagine drugs probably consume most of customs time and terrorists consume most of home land security time.
  20. argh!!!!! you are making me nervous. if a customs agent reads these threads they will get hooked too. then we would have someone on the inside. how nice would that be!!!!
  21. I just purchased Bodo's modded MBW vintage Submariner. The only problem being he is in Europe and the watch will have to clear customs. Unfortunatley I had to assume the risk and if it is captured, my loss. Has anyone ever had problems with something getting captured from Europe and been at a loss on the trade? What should he declare it as and what value should he declare? Thanks in advance for the noob question.
