  1. Today I had a meeting with my boss and couldn't help but eyeing his genuine Rolex Explorer II. So my struggle is, if I find a rep, it wouldn't be as nice as his gen and I shouldn't wear it when I meet him. I stayed away from this model b/c of his gen. But today I had an urge to source it. As ususal, the rep is relatively simple to make in my standard (), so I would like to keep the budget under $100. What does everyone think about this one? http://houseofsouvenirs.com/rolexexplorer_005.htm
  2. By-Tor, thanks for comments. Your eyes are much more professional on this. I've read all your GMT reviews. But since my quest is to find a GMT under $100, the retro and Transformers are out of my reach. To me, if we can find a good submariner under $100, it shouldn't be difficult to do a under $100 GMT. Anyway, while waiting for your new review, I found another one and I'd appreciate comments. http://houseofsouvenirs.com/rolexgmtmaster_006.htm
  3. I have a Noobmariner LV from TTK. I scratched the green bezel insert. Is it difficult to source a new bezel insert and replace it? I guess I only need to change the bezel insert instead of the whole bezel, right? Advises are appreciated!
  4. I like the Rolex GMT Pepsi non ceramic version. I have been looking for a good asian version under $100. How does everyone think about this one? http://nicereplica.com/pro_detail.php?ProId=547 Comments are appreciated!
  5. Finally got my group buy Rolex LV watch today. It's a long wait but the watch is wonderful. I skyped TTK yesterday saying that I haven't received the group buy watch and he said that he will send a new one today. The mailman delivered it today. It's from Thailand. I've skyped TTK to let him know I had the watch. Hope it's not too late. From my presonal experience: - It's painful to wait so long (however...) - TTK did accept my complain when I skyped him and promoised to send a replacement - I have the watch and it is great I guess it's all about expectation. If I know it will be a long wait at the moment of ordering, that is OK. It's the feeling of not knowing whether it's lost or not that's painful. A update to the group buy folks.
  6. I read through the GMTII buying guide. I still need some advises on where to get an Asian movement GMT II. Trusty and Josh have the beginner version. I can ask other dealers on the board to source the Asian movement GMT II. But who has the best version for under $100? I like the traditional pepsi and coke bezel than the ceramic version. Advises are appreciated!
  7. I second that too. I think if the Admins know TTK and can help us resolve that, it would be the best solution. Members of RWG should be warned.
  8. I feel sorry that he is ill and I hope he will get over soon. However, between the groupbuy starts and now, TTK has posted the "Noobfish" for sale. That tells me he is functioning and if he has time to post Noobfish for sale, he should have time to inform his groupbuy customers what's going on.
  9. Ever since I found out this website, I bought five watches and received the first two (actually three) watches. All of them Asian movement: 1. Trusty Xmas special Rolex YM The watch arrived perfect. It worked for 5 days and then lost minutes and stopped several times a day - bad movement. 2. WBK Omega GMT The watch arrived perfect. It worked for 7 days and stopped once. It worked for another 3 days and then stopped completely - bad movement Luckily, two great dealers. So Trusty sent me a new one. WBK will fix the watch for me. But for the first three watches I received, two of them dead! Actually, the Omega GMT was so accurate when it worked. My experience on A21j movements is really bad! The Trusty replacement works fine so far. It gains 25 seconds per day and now I managed to regulate it to 10 seconds per day. So far this is the best movement I've received. Another three watches on the way are: TTK Noobmariner (Long wait already) Ruby Asian SOSF Ruby Asian Rolex Lady's datejust I'm again shaking my faith on A21j movements. Thoughts?
  10. TTK, I need an update on the Group buy Rolex LV. It's been three weeks since you shipped on Feb 8th. Thanks!
  11. TTK, Could you let me know where my group buy Rolex LV watch might be at this point? It's 3 weeks after Feb 8th when you said all the watches shipped. I need an update. Thanks!
  12. Did you use EMS or registered email? I'm in the northeast US and I haven't received mine.
  13. I'm waiting my Rolex LV Sub. I will be on business trip next week. So I hope it will be there when I return. I used the default registered airmail.
  14. Please keep this coming. I went to China several times and Guangzhou is on my list next time. Interestingly, my second watch (Rolex YM) came from Shanghai region.
  15. Hi, I bought a Rolex YM A21j movement. It worked for the first 6 days and then started to lose minutes. After a week, it stopped several times during a day. I brought it to a watchsmith. He said there is a component turned loose and then broken. He said if the watch is serviced (oiled) at the beginning, this could have been avoided. I'm not a watch expert. Do you think what he said makes sense? If so, would it be a good idea to serve a new Rolex A21j movement when I receive it? What does everyone do? Also, if it is an ETA movement Rolex, would it be oiled or should I have it served as well? Advises are appriciated!
  16. Count me for a Rolex LV Sub (075) if it's still open, ..... Will pay by MoneyGram..
  17. According to Andrew, this is the noob factory version
