  1. A simple dip and swish for $75 won't do it, if it's over or under oiled.

That rules my watch maker out of the equation who promised me a full service for about $75 and in 24 hours. Come to think of it, I saw a strange machine in his shop that now makes total sense when talking about 'dip and swish'.

Back to square one but at least i now know what I'm getting for my $75.

  2. I just spoke with 2 of my suppliers/watch makers and both of them considered it a waste of money to service a new Asian 7750. Don't do anything until a problem arises were their suggestion. They both work with Asian 7750 all the time doing full service and repair work.

I was under the impression that it's almost vital for the longevity of the movement to have it serviced as soon as possible.

    Any thoughts?

  4. Big thanks everbody for helping me out!

From what I understand, a chinese copy doesn't have to be a bad thing and can almost be as good as the real thing or am I wrong?

Now I am waiting for the latest model of the same watch with ETA-movement. It should be interesting to see if that's a copy too.

  5. Hello everybody! I live in Thailand and have recently become interested in replica watches. But with all the scammers and different qualities I would have lost interest if it wasn't for you guys. So thanks for this great place and for sharing your knowledge.

    Now to my question:

I just bought a Submariner LV and the dealer told me it has a Myota movement. Can someone help me identify this movement. Also, is there any place/site I can use as a reference (with pictures) for identifying different movements as I don't want to bother you guys everytime I buy a new watch. I'm totally into replicas now and want to learn as much as possible.

    Thanks,

    Tony
