  1. Or perhaps the Great White 1665 Sea Dweller production date 1975.
  2. That rules my watch maker out of the equation who promised me a full service for about $75 and in 24 hours. Come to think of it, I saw a strange machine in his shop that now makes total sense when talking about 'dip and swish'. Back to square one but at least i now know what I'm getting for my $75.
  3. Wow is it that bad! Big thanks for clarifying and for taking the time.
  4. Thanks Pugwash, good point. I think I'll choose prevention and since I can have it done for a good price I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I am just surprised by their answer (both of them) but then again they're not the end user.
  5. I just spoke with 2 of my suppliers/watch makers and both of them considered it a waste of money to service a new Asian 7750. Don't do anything until a problem arises were their suggestion. They both work with Asian 7750 all the time doing full service and repair work. I was under the impression that it's almost vital for the longevity of the movement to have it serviced as soon as possible. Any thoughts?

  7. Big thanks everbody for helping me out! From what I understand, a chinese copy doesn't have to be a bad thing and can almost be as good as the real thing or am I wrong? Now I am waiting for the latest model of the same watch with ETA-movement. It should be interesting to see if that's a copy too. /Tony
  8. Yes Miyota, spelling error. That's what he told me. For me, I am just interested in learning as much as possible about different movements and how to identify them. Other than that the watch works fine. Here is a front view of the watch.
  9. Hello everybody! I live in Thailand and have recently become interested in replica watches. But with all the scammers and different qualities I would have lost interest if it wasn't for you guys. So thanks for this great place and for sharing your knowledge. Now to my question: I just bought a Submariner LV and the dealer told me it has a Myota movement. Can someone help me identify this movement. Also, is there any place/site I can use as a reference (with pictures) for identifying different movements as I don't want to bother you guys everytime I buy a new watch. I'm totally into replicas now and want to learn as much as possible. Thanks, Tony
