Will post new pics of the new dial soon.

  2. 2nd batch of 201a and 202a dial been made.

Index diameter been remade to smaller now so that the index distance is further apart from

    the edge of the watch.

But printer made a miskste on the 201a dial logo above the 6.I will make admenetment

    soon.

Index lume been filled up manually.I think i still need more practise on tis.

Hope you can see differnce between the first and the 2nd batch.

I have made some simialr cnc engarve dial on the 203a and 218a pre A dials too.

    Hope you like them.

  3. These are the new try out dials I have made.

The Hollow lume making on index is very hard indeed i have difficulty in getting them them evernly applied.

    pls see the outcomes anyway.

    DSCF6294.jpg

I will make some samples without the hollow lume effect to compare the diffferce.

More pcis will be postd this week.

  4. I am still trying to put lume on these indexes the way same way like the Gen.

The process is very slow and need some practices.

Will post pics of dial with lume soemtime this week.

I have made some sampels(unlumed) with printing of logo on these base dials.

    201a and 202a.

Pls see if the these dials logos and print ok?

    DSC_2788.jpg

    DSC_2771.jpg

the pre A sew in 24mm steel buckels been made too.

I will make engrave of the panny logos and put them into straps (115/85mm)

    DSC_2750.jpg

What straps are the best? plain color straps or sharkskin pattern?

  5. The First Blank dial pic is not very clear.

This is the original artwork which has been made and prepared by Enzo.

Dial logo have been made with an aging effect.

    DSCF6153.jpg

This is the artwork of the case back

    DSCF6156.jpg

I would not have started off this project without his advice and assitance.

Also all your inputs and comments are well noted too.

Pls bear in mind that I am trying to make a very close rep only.

Making a 1 to 1 gen copy of this model is impossible for me .

    Rep is only a rep.

Lastly the 202a dial also has the very same index making like the 201a.I simply change the printing of dial

logos and it will become a very good looking 202a dial too.

    DSCF6163.jpg

  6. Well,

Dial with lume will look better and more clear.

    plus new logo print.

Will put pics in the next post.

pre v case is under construction.

up graded case back is on the way.

Plus a sew in buckle strap too.

I am working on a ultimate 201a watch with you now.

Lets do it step by step.

    Thank you

  7. This is a pre run sample of the new 201a dial I have been working in the past 2 months.

    DSCF6020-1-1.jpg

This is a solid 34mmx 0.8mm black dial with dial feet made for units 6497.

All Indexes been engraved by CNC machine unifoirmly at prcise 0.5mm depth from surface.

My next step is to apply c1 lume/vintage lume on the bottom and 4 sides walls of the index aera.then fill the

    hollow aera with vanish.

Printing of logos will be done eventually.

more pics will be followed soon.

    All comments are welcomed.

  8. Laser engrave can make very very thin engrave(0.5mm) on the brass dial only.

It is not hard to make laser engrave on this dial. But it is imposisble to apply any lume onto these engraves as there is just no room for it.

Acid engrave can make deeper engrave than the laser engrave. But still no deep enough for the lume sitting like the gen.

The most proper way is to find someone who can make these engrave by CNC .

    Good luck!

  9. It just reminds me of a recent threat lately from a member of one fo these

forums.I do not want to mention name.

A few weeks ago he made an order of watch parts with me the total value

was us$60.00 .I was very busy then and i simply forogt to send his order.

He sent me 1/2 mails asked about his order and i promised him to give me time

to check it up for him.

The next mail i got from him as belows:

    David,

You did not respond to my last email and I have not received the parts. If I don’t hear from you or receive the parts within a day or two, I will initiate a dispute with PayPal.

I was a bit annoyed and I simply push the REFUND buttom on paypal an I wanted to give his money back.

But i withheld the final confiramtion with Paypal the last min.

That boy needed the parts badly and he was very upset.

After making myself a cup of English tea.

I sent my apology and sent him his order the next day.

Just want to tell you guys that dealer are not supermaman and are humans.Sometieme I make mistakes

such as missing the shipment or sending the wrong model of parts.

Paypal is not my only mean to get my payment really. But it is a very and easy mean for buyer moslty.

Without paypal is not really teh end of the world for us.

  10. Yeah, I've been wanting to build a Marina Militare with the old style dial and gold hands for some time. I was about to buy some of the parts from Davidsen and then bamm, his rendition of the 6152-1. Sweet, way better than I could have done, especially with the high domed plexigless. May have to go back and get another kit and source a rolex movement for the ultimate 6152-1.

    JP

A rolex movt ? do you mean this one?

  11. I have heard lots of complaints about my dials not fully lumed with the famous Super LumiNova C3.

Thus I have decided to order some from Swiss Tritec and re lumed it with some of my

    current dials.

The outcome looks very good and now i understand why you keep asking for it.

These super lum pigment is 400% more costly than my current standard lum pigments. But I believe it worths

    every penny of it.

    Pls see scans

  12. [censored], that is not good....

100% shure the christal was scratchfree, if so we have to go to the watchmaker and :bicycle: his balls!

Well,i think it is msot liley that the Ar coating get scratches some how.

You can send it back to me and i will replace you a new one.

By definition a genuine sapphire is scratch free. But the Ar coating attched on teh down part of teh sapphire is not.

I will remove the ar caoting completely witht the AR striper and send for a re AR coating.

Pm me and i will send you my psotal address .

  13. I received a tailor made speical request form Enzo 2 months ago for a pre v very rare yellow dial .My frist batch was a total failure and i had to re do it with a second attampt. The final result looks

    very well.pls see pic.

Sorry i do not have this for sale.

Pls ask enzo for this very speical edition watch.

Teh dial is so pretty that i can not reissit making it into watches to add to my pre v collection.

    pls see pics

  14. What say ye PAM WIS's about the new guard? Accurate for a Pre-A, would it also be an improvement over existing rep H series guards on my 111H?

The brushing looks a little rough to me, intentionally to match pre A brushing, maybe--but that's an easy fix...

Davidsen is on a major roll! I knew someone would come along who gets that there is a demand for and profit in small runs of high quality aftermarket parts and interesting watches. Great work!

    hi,

    Thanks for your kind comments.

Since there is a demad to have a better look at the dial.here they are.

I am not sure if it is the the recessed index you are talking about. But i simply copied this dial

from pics that i got from net.

  15. This ia my new pvd project for the 1950.This time i am making it slightly different PVd finishing

as from the Pre V pvd on the 44mm watches.Basically i am using a more fine Bead blasting on the 1950 case.

.Hope you can see the differnce bewteen the pre v and the 1950 Pvd.

  16. This is the final result of my another project

    The 1950!!

    No special serrial nos

    No decorative Swan neck movt

Just one point most important to all Panerai lovers,NO RECESSED CANNON PIN!

The hour and min hands are sitting nicely and comfortably on teh XL long cannon pin Shaft.

Sorry,no swan neck decoration but this movt has a builit in XL cannon shaft insead.

    69948-32923.jpg

I know there is no swan neck on this movt.

Pls tell me what other flaws you need me to work on just to make better 1950 everboday loves.

  17. i dont want to be the smart one but when a watchmaker is asking me how to remove this bezel ,i think i will go to some one else.

    Well,

It seems to me that the watch smith is not really very professional.I would go to another watch smith to do

the replacment. The most important point is wheter he got the correct and right size tool to perform the

task as the 127 crystal size is quite big.If he got it right, that is quite easy to remove and install the

    crystal.

    Good luck!

  18. yers, but i'm afraid I will damage the tube or the hand if I use a cutter, because the cutter will press the tube and turn it from round to oval!

All my hands are done my machine .

I think it is very dificult to put a cap manually on your watch hands .It is very liley that you will damage it

    at the end.

Pls take not that my hands for fiddy is us$30.00/set wtih free shipping.NOt us$50.

For us$50 you can get 2 sets from me.

    Thank you

  20. Here's a checklist of how to take a picture the Pugwash way:
    1. Clean the watch
    2. Light the scene
    3. Set the camera's white balance
    4. Make sure everything is in focus and framed
    5. Stabilise the camera
    6. Turn on the timer
    7. Press the button
    8. Stand well back
    9. click
    10. Import the picture into the computer
    11. Check the levels, colours, etc.
    12. Crop, scale and export
If you follow this routine, you'll get useable pics every time. You'll be taking photographs, not snapshots.

    Thank you.

    very useful tips indeed.

I did not know your light box was made from tranp folder!

I would like to set up like this too.

    Thank you

    :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  21. You can't get it, because ETA does not make it, this is a basterdized model and it's an add on to the basic movement produced somewhere in Asia by whoever...

Only possible source in one of the sellers, Josh does NOT sell parts, so don't even bother asking, chances of finding one are slim to none. Only parts seller is Davidsen, maybe he can source one.

If you want a GMT movement, your much better off getting a true GMT movement, not a basterdized one that you can't get parts for...that's how I look at these models...

    RG

Well,I think it is almost impossible to Mod a eta 2836 Movt to have a Gmt funtcion by yourself. As far as i know there is no parts avialble in the market.

But I do have these movt in stock becasue i am working on a Panny Gmt watch project.Since eta 2893 is very costly and quite hard to get.I have decided to use that MOd 2836.

I have both the white and black date calender available.Any one interesed pls PM me .
