Yes, I actually don't know why, but that gold hands thing grew in me since when I saw the Fiddy and Marina Militare.
By coincidence, this very moment I received a PM from davidsen and he said that my hands are ready and he is going to ship them tomorrow.
It also came to my mind that davidsen already is selling hands for the 6497, those that he advertised as "111 hands". In facts, 111 movement is 6497. You just needed to buy those hands from him instead of Fiddy hands.
@ chris
i can send you some extra small hands no problem.
Pls Pm me for the color and size.

I can only answer based on my opinion.
If you order a ETA 6497-1 or -2 movement, it's going to come with the shorter cannon and hour wheels as standard.
You can order movements with longer cannon and hour wheels (there are up to 6 lengths on some movement models), but this is a special order from ETA. What are the chances that anyone is actually custom ordering these movements, probably zero, the movements are from the surplus market. So since ETA produces the standard model, this is what they buy, and what ends up in your watch...
What pisses me off, is the Asian copies of the ETA 6497 model, especially the -2 one. If your going to copy and make your own parts, why not make the longer cannon and hour wheel...and fix the problem?
So we are left to order the correct parts, and they are hard to get, I guess Paneari must be using them all...

Dear The Zigmeister,
Well,i have ordered some cn 6497 -2 movtments with longer cannon pin and hour wheel already more than
2 months.I am still waiting for for thier delviery to me.These longer pin movt cost me a few dollars more
than the standard one.But i will have to wait longer than expected.Hope they will get it done properly.
If ok,this long time recessed pin problem will be gone pretty soon.I am not too sure unitll i have the
movts on hand.May be i will send you a fresh one to make a review on it,ok?

Hi finpics,
I do agree with your that usig my thin hour and min hands it is possible to eliminate the recessed cannon
pin tremandously. But pls bear in mind that the thickness of the dial is a very major factor too.If the fiddy dial
is very thick say more than 1mm /1.05mm thick. The recessed aera still exists. But the aera is so small that
it may not be notice visably. Can only notcie using a manify glass.
Pls note that hour and min hands could be thin normal hands.
small sub dial handss must be high collared to be able to sit on the thick dial. You have
mentioend this many times.jsut to remind other maemners of this.
hi woddy,if you are sending your watch to have this install by The Zigmeister,i would recommaned you
to order fiddy hands without cap but all hands are high collared.
I believe The Zigmeister will layer down the hand tube of hour and min size accordinly.

Very beautiful watch.
I believe it is not really a pvd.looks like a DLC coating to me.
PVd or DLC ?Any one can confirm this?
